    The reason we use this basis: We will hold contracts with any individuals who have participated in a StedyChefs Course.
    We process your information in the following ways: We will keep these details secured and ensure that they are only seen by relevant parties, E.G. Trainer, Assessor for Risk Assessments, etc.
    Data retention period: We shall continue to process your information until the contract between us ends or is terminated under any contract terms.

    The reason we use this basis: We may share your details if we are legally obliged to, E.G. If you are an employee and we must send your Tax Details to the HMRC.
    We process your information in the following ways:
  • document our decision that processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation;

    Sharing your information: We do share your information with third parties under legal obligations.


  • Lawful basis: Vital interests
    The reason we use this basis: We may share your details if it is in a vital interest. E.G. We have emergency contact information for you and you are admitted to hospital, we have medical records on you.

    The reason we use this basis: If, for example a debt was owed to StedyChefs, we would follow out procedures to ensure that it was of legitimate interest to chase this up via a Debt Collector.

  • Necessity test – is the processing necessary for that purpose?
  • Balancing test – is the legitimate interest overridden by the individual’s interests, rights or freedom

  • Lawful basis: Special category data
    The reason we use this basis: We will categorise our candidates based on any special needs due to having separate facilities for Adults with Disabilities. Any additional needs may be shared with third parties if student is gaining Employment.
    We process your information in the following ways: We keep secure files of all trainees at StedyChefs, ensuring that they can only be accessed by those with significant control.
    Data retention period: Until termination or consent is removed.
    Sharing your information: We may share your information with third parties.


  • Lawful basis: Criminal offence data
    The reason we use this basis: We will keep data of any criminal offenses through DBS Checks. These may be sent to local authorities for checks on our establishment or they could be sent to potential employers.
    We process your information in the following ways: We keep our DBS Checks secure, ensuring that they can only be accessed by those with significant control.
    Data retention period: Until termination or consent is removed.
    Sharing your information: We do not share your information with third parties.


If, as determined by us, the lawful basis upon which we process your personal information changes, we will notify you about the change and any new lawful basis to be used if required. We shall stop processing your personal information if the lawful basis used is no longer relevant.

Email marketing messages & subscription

An EMS is a third party service provider of software / applications that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.
